All members will either use a society handicap (internal WHI), or their registered WHI to convert to a course handicap for each venue based on slope and course rating. Internal society handicaps will be reviewed under the society constitution.
New members without any official WHI will play with what
they believe is appropriate, before it is reviewed, but not eligible to win an order of merit prize in the first event played.
Our current constitution for revisions of internal WHI's is after each golf day and at the end of season is:
No reductions for any score less than 37 points, even if a prize winner.
Handicap reduction by 0.5 for 37-38 pts (if not the winner), 1.0 for 37-38 points if the winner, 1.5 for all scores of 39 plus points.
At the end of the season, players with internal WHI's who have played in two or more golf days will receive one shot back if all scores are below 32 points and two shots back if all below 28 points.
All players with registered WHI's would usually enter
their round into the EG platform, but it is required for the winner. If they have entered less than three scores for the year, then they would revert to an internal WHI. |
